Lemon Sauce
Lemon Sauce. An excellent sauce with a tang of lemon. Ideal accompaniment for a whole range of puddings
Ingredients
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup sugar
- juice of 2 lemons
- grated lemon zest of 1 lemon
- 1 tablespoon butter
Method
In a saucepan, combine egg, sugar, lemon juice and lemon zest; cook over low heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Add butter; stir until butter is melted.
